Much Listen I have a story for you to hear,

It is of a little girl who didnt see the world so clear,

Her daddy once warned her not to fall in love,

Her momma said the pain has just begun.



She didnt know what to do,

She wanted to love, and love only you,

Her father was a man with many rages,

One who wasnt very good at being a dad.



Beaten till the days were done,

Everyday a new battle that she could not win,

Her momma wasnt always there to protect her,

And even if she was, she would always end up with a lot of damage done.



In and out of the hospitals,

Bruises that never fade away,

A tender kiss from a boy that changed her life,

For a moment then everything was back to the way it used to be.



Thrown against cold step,

Never knowing where she might run to next,

The man she married was not this stupid boy,

He could find her baby and then do something more,

She didnt want her little girl going through the pain,

So she carried her away.
