they hurt so bad,

things we say when we are mad.

I watched the words fall from your mouth,

it was the truth,

just spit it out.



Is it really my fault if the rain starts to fall?

Is it really my fault if your boyfriend doesn't call?

Is it really my fault if the world is too small for your dreams?



Every day I try and try,

to make our friendship worth a while.

But no matter what I do,

it seems I'm only hurting you.

I know I make mistakes,

what luck gives it also takes.
